TOUR 1: Oban & Western Highlands: includes Inverary. Firth of Lorne.

TOUR 2: Loch Ness and the Highlands: we drive north through the Grampian Mountains to Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness. After a break we return via Loch Ness, Fort William and Glen Coe.

TOUR 3: Skye: Kyles of Lochalsh, Eilean Donan Castle, where “Highlander was filmed. We visit Portree the capital of the Isle of Skye. Visits to Dunvegan Castle, Sligachan, then over the bridge to Invergarry before returning to hotel.

TOUR 4: North West Passage: Struy Hill, Dornoch Firth, Falls of Shin, Altnaharra, Ben Hope, Kylestrome, Drumbeg and Stoer, fishing port of Lochinver, Ullapool, Craigdarroch, Strathpeppere and Inverness.

TOUR 5: Whisky and Castle: north through Laing, Falls of Shin, Glen of Rogart, the splendid Dunrobin castle, Dornoch- famous for golf, and Tain.

TOUR 6: Glenfinnan and the Ardnmuchan Peninsula: Great Glen, Commando Monument at Spean Bridge, Banavie. We follow the route of Bonnie Prince Charlie ” Road to the Isles”, Glenfinnan Monument, Lochailort, Kinlochmoidart, Loch Stuart, Strontian, Glengalmaldale, Corran ferry, Loch Linnhe, Fort William, for woollens shopping. End Craigdarrroch.

TOUR 7: Laggan and the Central Grampians
Craigdarroch, Strattherick, Newtonmore, Waltzing Waters, Bandemoch Mountain range, Loch Laggan, Spean Bridge,Great Glen, Commando Monument, Fort Augustus, return to Foyers.

TOUR 8: Royal Deeside and the Balmoral Area

TOUR 9: Lochs & Glens of Perthshire
Scenic tour of the lochs and glens visiting the Queen’s view on Loch Tummel. Choice of visits to Blair Castle, Whisky Distillery, Caithness, Glass centre.

TOUR 10: Braveheart Tour
Travel to Stirling for a visit to the Castle then on to the Wallace Monument. Visit a woollen mill in Callendar then travel through the Trossachs to Loch Lomond the largest Scottish inland loch.

TOUR 11: St Andrews (home of Golf) & Glamis Castle
Over the Forth Bridge to St Andrews, home of golf with time to explore the historic University City. After lunch visit Glamis Castle, legendary setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth and childhood home of the Queen Mother. Sample home baking in the original castle kitchen and visit Angus Folk Museum.

Tours of England and Scotland starting in London ( minimum two days )

Highlights of Britain (6 days) tours by road starting in central London or London airports.

The following routes and stops are suggestions and can be amended by arrangement with your guide. Includes England and Scotland.

DAY 1 From London/ Heathrow our route takes us North West through the Chiltern Hills (option to visit University town of Oxford) or to Stratford-upon-Avon (William Shakespeare’s birthplace), to visit one or several houses connected with William’s birthplace. Overnight in the Roman City of Chester.

DAY 2 Sightseeing in Chester then onwards North to the Lake District, overnight at Grasmere near Lake Windermere.

DAY 3 Onward to the Scottish border and through the Trossachs (hills, lochs and woodlands), to the Highlands. Visits to one or two whisky distilleries and overnight in Inverness.

DAY 4 In the morning, a guided tour of the Royal Mile including Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyrood. In the afternoon we visit a woollen mill free for shopping and the Royal yacht Britannia at Leith. Evening option of Scottish Banquet with Highland dancing.

Overnight Edinburgh.

DAY 5 We leave for Durham Cathedral to the Viking City of York. Tour of the Shambles and York Minster.

DAY 6 Southwards to the University Town of Cambridge to visit famous Kings and Trinity Colleges. Return to London.
