Day sightseeing of Paris  collection from Gare du Nord

You start your day with your Tourways representative at St Pancras International railway station followed by coffee  on  Eurostar and a two hours 15 minutes  journey to the Gare du Nord in Paris where you meet your Paris driver for sightseeing in Paris and day trips.

All tours start at Paris Gare du Nord  but we  join our insider tour ( Fashion) a few minutes away by car at the Place de l ‘Opéra with a view of the  cupola of the Grand Hôtel Intercontinental, just above the historic literary venue of  Café de la Paix. From here you can see Palais Garnier, with its golden statues, marble columns and grand staircase and the recently renovated and magnificent Paris Opera House where our guide will take you on a personal tour of  the stage and dressing rooms. This is followed by tea at the Hotel Scribe, a visit to a leading perfumers,  shopping at leading department stores in  the Boulevard Haussman  and a drive to the rue Saint Honore, home to haute couture  and  Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Balenciaga and Cartier.Then after a browse we continue to the Place Vendome and the Paris Ritz, past the most famous of  Paris jewellers to the Tuileries and Palais Royal.

Insider tours of Paris are designed for visitors who already know the main Paris attractions, and are looking for an interesting day out centres around lunch in a hidden but stylish bistrot, and cover visits to the Hôtel Drouot, a famous auction house, where we shall have a preview of  the sale with the art dealers and collectors( we take you through the galleries visiting antique dealers and specialist boutiques selling collectibles, travel northbound to the Pere Lachaise cemetery , visit the Centre Pompidou or the Musée d Orsay for an art exhibition, then stop for lunch. In the afternoon we join a river cruise, stop or tea at Angelino’ s and return to Gare du Nord in time for the departure to London.

The tariff above is per person and includes the cost of the Eurostar train ticket. Bookings must be made 72 hours ahead and tours cannot be cancelled so you must be sure of passports and visas for France. We meet at St Pancras International at 5.45 am for a 6.30 am departure where you exchange your  voucher for  train ticket and voucher for the sightseeing that includes a visit to the Eiffel Tower ( second floor) an a cruise on the River Seine followed by free time and an independent visit to the Musée du Louvre ( Mona Lisa, Leonardo da Vinci) or on Mondays when closed we exchange for a ticket to the Musée d ‘Orsay ( Impressionists and Modern Art).  You will be escorted back to the Gare du Nord for the 8.15 pm ( 2015h) departure to London.There are options with Classic Plus of an additional visit to the Palace of Versailles or insider guided tours with lunch and tea for second time visitors, and if you are four travelling together book the Jag or the Merc for that special celebration and day out at your own pace.Language service: English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or Russian on request.
