Docklands
The regeneration of the defunct port of London was intitiated by Lady Thatcher in the 1980′s and is a showpiece of modern architecture. It has become a new global financial center close to the traditional institutions of the City of London. Highlights of the tour include Canary Wharf, Reuters, the Dome and view of Greenwich. Ask your guide to take you via the backstreets where you can still see old warehouses, smugglers pubs and some of the cranes used by the dockers.
