From Heathrow:

Windsor Castle favorite week-end retreat of Queen Elizabeth II, located in the charming town of Windsor and close to shops, the river Thames and Eton where princes William and Harry were educated. Hampton Court Palace, 16th century home of King Henry VIII and his six wives with its famous maze, tennis courts,vine, and state apartments.

From Gatwick:
Chartwell the country home of Sir Winston Churchill. Tunbridge Wells elegant 18th century Spa town. Penshurst Place originally built in 1340, a stately home still family owned or the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley. Sissinghurst Garden, famous for its white garden and restored by Vita Sackville West, Hever Castle associated with Queen Anne Boleyn and restored by the Astor family.
