About the Tourways Guides

Guides, driver-guides and tour managers have received extensive training and are qualified by the London and or regional tourist boards as “Driver-Guides” or “Blue Badge” guides. Guides also attend specialist-guiding courses for specific attractions or “cities”.

Many are travellers themselves, with experience of spending long periods abroad and will easily adapt to your needs when guiding for you. Most are university graduates with specialised knowledge whilst many are linguists and some bi-lingual so there’s lots to talk about!

They have a broad knowledge of Britain as part of their training and will have a deatailed knowledege of the history of the United Kingdom, the English countryside, current affairs and the arts and “what’s on in London” and in the UK.

Driver-guides are familiar with the narrow lanes and back streets that will make your tours memorable. There are plenty of stops and photo opportunities on all our routes. Ask your guide for tips on restaurants and historic inns?
